All individuals planning to attend WAC-8 must complete registration. Please read the instructions below and then press the Registration form button to open an online registration form.
Registration fees
The registration fee includes access to all academic programs, the opening ceremony, the welcome reception and farewell party, lunch (except for 31 August), daily coffee/tea breaks, and a book about the conference and program/abstract.

*** The Concession rate applies to students, Indigenous peoples, and retired persons.
**** Does not include access to any academic sessions or a program/abstract book. Children who are 12 yrs and younger do not need to register if accompanied by a conference-registered adult.
1. The first step is to set up an account with a username and password here. An automatic message to your email address will confirm that this has been established.
2. The second step is to fill in an online registration form, which will ask which kind of fee you intend to pay. An automatic reply to your email address will confirm that the form has been received.
3. Before payment can be made (the 3rd step), you must wait 10 days to two weeks for our transaction manager (DASH) to send an invoice and link for payment. The invoice will be based on the date of your registration form (second step). A secure payment can then be made online using Visa or Mastercard.
Gala dinner SOLD OUT
The Gala Dinner is a special formal event celebrating the accomplishments of WAC-8 Kyoto. A separate ticket must be purchased (admission is not included with the WAC-8 Registration fee).

Method of payment
There are two methods of payment:
- By credit card (Visa/Master)
- By bank transfer
We strongly recommend that you pay the fee by credit card. If you make a bank transfer payment, an flat rate of JPY2,000 is added to the fee and all remittance charges must be paid for by the person registering.
Cancellation and refund policy
To cancel all or any portion of your registration, you must notify in writing of your request for a refund. The timing of your request is important in determining the refund amount. Refunds will be made upon receipt of written refund request within the following guidelines:
Before 31 March 2016: A full refund of the fee*
Before 30 June 2016: 75% of the fee*
After 1 July 2016: No refund
*All remittance charges will be paid for by the participant. Remittance charges vary, depending on each bank. The committee cannot cover any remittance cost.
